Mark
Brumer Property Development was founded eight years
ago by Mark Brumer in the beautiful coastal town
of Hermanus.
After working for construction company Savage &
Lovemore for many years in an engineering and land
surveying capacity, Mark wanted to explore the boundless
potential of Hermanus. He decided to set up a company
that would be hands-on as well as small, to create
quality developments that would showcase the company's
skills and benefit prospective buyers.
He works with local crews in each community, creating
job opportunities for engineers and other professionals.
His architect of choice is the Kommetjie-based Richard
Straw, whose organic style and use of natural materials,
fits in perfectly with the company's ethos.
As a "green developer", Mark feels it
is important to be environment-friendly and not
to try and take short cuts to get around potential
problems. This means that extra care is taken not
to uproot sensitive plants or damage fragile ecosystems.
Over the past few years, the company has been involved
in several joint ventures and has been responsible
for a wide range of developments. |
